Licensed Residential/Commercial Property Manager

At McLeod we are seeking an experienced and licensed Property Manager to oversee the management of commercial and residential buildings in Edmonton and surrounding areas. This is a senior position and only those with a license and leadership goals should apply.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, maintain, and inspect all designated buildings and properties
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants and property owners
  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance and inspections to comply with all relevant laws, codes, and company policies
  • Perform move in and move out inspections
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, pay invoices, and analyze costs and operating statements
  • Manage on-site staff, and vendor/contractor relationships
  • Address tenant complaints, violations, and enforce building rules and policy
  • Prepare and update budgets
  • Review and send out monthly financial statements
  • Maintain tenant files in Yardi
  • Achieve occupancy and retention targets

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a residential or commerical property management role
  • Preference given to those candidates who have or are actively working on obtaining their RECA property management license.
  • Good understanding of Yardi or a comparable accounting & property management software system
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to comply with operational policies and procedures, codes, and regulations and follow direction from senior leadership
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with residents, colleagues and trades
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times
  • Availability to work some weekends and evenings and respond to after hours emergencies
  • Preference given to those with an accredited IREM designation
